Meeting 1-6 Dec. 14 Due Portfolio
Written requirements - Research on history of Packaging, Structure of paper and Bar Code.
Paper Projects – 1) Two paper construction packaging 2) Tea/Coffee Primary Packaging 3) Tea/Coffee Secondary Packaging

Do studies, compre, die cutting guide, mock-up and final artworks.
Write problem, objective and design statement.

Photography 1 Prelim

2nd semester SY 2007-08

Activities:
Written requirements - Research on history of Photography and Pin Hole Camera, Reaction paper on photography exhibit or any related literature.
Photography Projects – 1) Basic Lighting - 1 object 2) Basic Composition - 3 objects

-Theme on Still Life
-Use any traditional camera with film
-Do contact print for the 2 projects (18 shoots each) and print 3" x 4" or 3R on selected shoot on 1 and 2

Course Description
Main emphasis is on setting priorities for
typographic elements, designing typefaces
and use of grids to develop publications of
ascending complexity from one-page, single-
color format through multi-folio, multicolor
books and magazines. These are considered
from concept development through
pre-press preparation.
Co-requisite subject Typography 2
Course Objectives
At the end of the semester the student is
expected to:
1. Develop skill in layouting types for various
publications.
2. Enhance the sensitivity the right typeface
relative to the kind of publication in
which he/she is at work.
3. Be able to make a comprehensive artwork
for either brochure or newspaper.

and how it works in any printed communications
material.
5. Understand the advancement of computer
typography and it’s effects to the trade.

Description:
Provides students with exercise to
develop in them accurate observation and
skills in Graphic Presentation. Topics like
lines, light, shades and shadow and
pictorial presentation or rendering in full
color are discussed here. Different art
media like charcoal, pencil pen and ink
and watercolor are explored to serve as
effective means of creating the graphic
equivalent of what is observed or
visualized.
Pre-Requisites:Freehand Drawing 1

Life
Learning Objectives:
Knowledge

out form and content in Freehand
Drawing.
Learner should be able to state attributes,
dimensions, basic phenomena and their
applications on color theory.

Methodology:
Methods will be lectures on theory,
demonstration, interaction by answering
the question given, discussion on
activities, do practical assignment by
exercises on the spot, supervision and
final project.
Media will be the use of chalk or
clipboard, handouts, slides and other
instructional materials.
Grading system:
Grading system can be done for the
student by solving the given problem.
Participate to the class actively through
doing good painting exercises and other
activities or requirements. By following
the criteria in doing painting artwork,
follow instruction, accuracy and good
technique, speed with effort and discipline
in there work (85%). Attendance and
attitude (15%).
